Worker Registration Scheme

The new Workers Registration Scheme which came into force from May 2004 applies to nationals who wish to come to the UK to take up employment from the new members of the accession states countries; Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia or Slovenia excluding citizen of Cyprus or Malta.

Registered national under the worker registration scheme will have the right of a Residence Permit Once you they have at least  worked for 12 months without interruption and apply an EEA residence permit with their dependants family members under European Community Law with a view of applying for indefinite leave to remain after 5 years residence in the UK as qualifying persons under EEA Regulation 2000.
