Training and Work Experience Scheme (TWES)

Organisation who are able to offer training towards professional development or training towards specialist qualification or work experience to non EU national who wish to return to their country to use the training or work experience gained in the United Kingdom are allowed to apply under the TWES scheme.

Please note that the TWES Scheme is not intended for employers to use candidates to fill in a position in the employer’s organisation where there is a shortage of staff in employment and where a vacancy exists.
           
Visa Period

Work training can be granted for a period lasting 5 years, whilst work experience can be granted for a maximum period lasting 2 years.

Please note that a person  who has completed TWES must have the intention of leaving the county under the end of the TWES and must further use their training or work experience for a minimum of 24 months before they allowed to come back to take up TWES or work permit employment in the UK, however, a spouse of a person on TWES can apply for leave to enter as a dependant to join the TWES holder.

 Requirement

To apply for TWES the candidate must have either a relevant degree; or 3 years relevant experience; or non relevant degree with at least one year experience in similar role, or must meet a position on TWES which is NVQ level 3 or above
