Science & Engineering Graduate Scheme Visa

A visa national that has completed a course of graduate level degree study in Science or Engineering with minimum qualifications requirement of 2:2 and intends to seek and find employment can apply for a visa under the Science & Engineering Graduate Scheme.

Visa Period

Applicants who have successfully applied under the Science & Engineering Graduate Scheme will be granted a visa lasting for a maximum of 12 months to seek and find employment.

Requirements

To be eligible for the visa the applicant must show the following: -

• Must have graduated with a science or engineering degree with minimum qualifications of at least 2:2
• Must demonstrate evidence that they intend to seek employment
• Must be able to maintain themselves with sufficient funds and adequate accommodation without recourse to public funds.

Further Information

At the end of the 12 months period given under the visa an applicant can remain in the United Kingdom by either applying to remain under the following visa categories such as:

Work Permit Holder
Student
Highly Skilled Migrant Programme

Note that there is no current restriction on the type of employment an applicant can undertake.
