A person who is seeking a placement as an Au Pair with the intention to come to the United Kingdom to learn English language and live for a time as a member of an English speaking family and help in a home for 5 hours per day in return for reasonable allowance and with two free days per week is eligible to apply for the Au Pair visa.

Visa Period

An applicant seeking to enter the UK as an Au Pair may be admitted with a visa not exceeding 2 years with a prohibition on employment except as an au pair.

Requirements

You must be aged between 17-27 inclusive
You must be unmarried and is not a civil partner without dependants;
You must be is a national of one of the following countries:

Andorra,
Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Republic of Bulgaria,
Croatia,
The Faroes, Greenland,
Macedonia,
Monaco,
Romania,
San Marino
Turkey; and

You must be able to maintain and accommodate yourself without recourse to public funds.
